The Sri Lanka Business ETA accepts online applications, the same as the Tourist ETA. Since January 2012, the Department of Immigration has made this option available to most nationalities. For those travelling to Sri Lanka for business or meetings, conferences, short-term training programmes, or other business-related activities.

There is no longer a requirement to visit an embassy and submit an application in person thanks to the online Sri Lanka Business ETA application available through iVisa. The applicants must upload all necessary papers and information as well as pay the application cost online.

Additionally, this ETA is a Double Entry document. You can utilise a valid ETA to stay in Sri Lanka for a maximum of 30 days after it is given, but you must use it within 90 days of receiving it.

Another online electronic travel authorization developed in 2012 is the Sri Lanka ETA for Transit. You can leave the airport and stay there for up to two days if you are an eligible national and wish to transit through Sri Lanka.

The majority of foreign nationals can apply for a Sri Lanka Transit ETA at the embassy or consulate that is closest to them. At this time, it does not provide a service for transit visa applications.

Who is eligible to apply for the online Sri Lanka ETA?

Seychelles, the Maldives, and Singapore are the only three nations that do not require visas. Individuals from these nations only need a passport that is currently valid to enter Sri Lanka.

Currently, 21 nations must first get a visa from a Sri Lankan diplomatic mission in their country of residence to travel and are not eligible for the tourist, business, or transit ETA.
