When is the best time to visit Dubai?
Are you planning a
trip to the stunning city of Dubai but confused about when Is the best time to
travel?
Dubai is an
all-year-round destination. There is always a lot happening throughout the year
in Dubai. Be it shopping, festivals, concerts, adventure activities or
delicious food. But, there is going to be that one ‘best time for you to visit
Dubai’ to experience the magic of the city.
The best time to visit
Dubai is during the winter season. From the month of November to March, the
city experiences heavy tourist footfall. The weather during these months is
pleasant and cool. The beautiful weather gives you many options to explore
around Dubai.
The peak months in
Dubai are during the Dubai Shopping Festival, held from January – February.
During the shopping festival, most stores give out heavy discounts on their
products from clothes, accessories, electronics, to food. There is a rise
in hotel and flight rates during the festival months. If you plan on visiting
Dubai during this time, it is advisable for you to book your Dubai visa and make
hotel reservations well in advance.
The winter months are
also the best time to indulge in outdoor activities and adventure sports.
Dubai’s Desert safari is one of the most thrilling experiences you can have
during these months without the heat bothering you. There are endless
activities to experience here like dune bashing, camel rides, quad biking,
sandboarding, BBQ dinner and entertaining performances.
Between September to October is a great time for a beach getaway. The sands aren’t hot for you to walk on and neither is the water too cold for you to take a swim. Dubai has many beaches to explore, like the Kite beach, JBR beach, Palm Jumeirah etc. You could enjoy various water sports at these beaches, go for a swim or have a little picnic.
The summer months in
Dubai are very hot and humid and fall between the months of April till October.
The temperature reaches up to 40’C and it isn’t an ideal time to explore the
outdoors. However, malls, hotels, cabs and all indoor tourist places are well
air-conditioned. A 45 days Dubai Summer Surprise starts during the month of July.
It is a city-wide shopping festival. If you are planning a less crowded and
pocket-friendly trip to Dubai, you could travel during these months.
If your trip to
Dubai is during the Holy month of Ramadan, you need to make sure you are
respectful and follow the cultural expectations and rules. Muslims fast from
dawn to dusk. Most shops and restaurants remain closed during the day and only
open after the evening prayers. You are not allowed to eat, drink or smoke in
public places even if you do not fast. The dates of Ramadan change every year.
Check the dates before booking your travel accordingly.
